At c prompt, type dir to check your files. If u have win98 you shd have windows folder, if u have win2000 u shd have winnt folder. can try cd windows or cd winnt and type winPossible corrupt MSDOS.SYS. You should have a line in MSDOS.SYS 'BootGUI=0' or 'BootGUI=no'. Change to read 'BootGUI=1' or 'BootGUI=Yes', as appropriate, USING a DOS text edittor.
