Answer» Both my CD Rom drives will no longer let me write to them. Get a notice that there is not a disk in the DRIVE. The drives in question are: JLMS XJ-HD166S [CD-ROM drive] and a SONY CD-RW CRX320EE [CD-ROM drive]. I have Nero 6 installed and it can't see the drive media either. Have XP Pro with SP3 on a custom built computer ( Asus MB ). The CD ROMS play and display fine. I can install software from the CDs as well. The MS driver for burning: 5.1.2535.0 is installled. Did a MS Update just to make sure and all's fine. So basically when I open a folder of photos to burn, I can get the "files waiting to burned to CD" , the Wizard opens and I click "next" and I get "No disk in Drive" Most likely, the writing laser is out.Happens in both CD Roms.
