Answer» Hi, My CD drive in my HP laptop shows up in "My Computer" The icon shows that the disk is in the drive. When I try to open the disk, I get a prompt that SAYS, "Insert CD into the drive" Help!Right clik the CD drive in Device MANAGER and select Remove or Uninstall....re-boot and try it again. If this doesn't work try a few other CD's PREFERABLY FACTORY ones such as music CD's or data CD's...if none work that drive may have headed South...
