Answer» i CANT get it opened. I tried PUTTING the pin in through the whole and it still doesnt open. I assume that the CD is in the drive - probably not seated correctly.
Push on the release with the pin (paper clip MAY be better) and, at the same time, try to pull the tray open.
Best of luck!no there is nothing in thereTry the paperclip and pull gently on the tray.how do i pull on itYou don't mention an operating system so we'll PROCEED as if it is Windows. First, let's try this: Go to My Computer, right-click on the CD drive, select Properties, click on "Eject."
If that doesn't work, make sure that the straightened paperclip is a couple inches (5 cm, or so) long. Push the paperclip into the HOLE until you feel some resistance, continue pushing and the tray ought to begin coming out, grasp it and pull gently.
Let us know how you make out.Do you have kids? When you place a CD in the drive, do you press the button to close it, or just push the tray in? Does the drive show up in My Computer?

Remove all jam and jelly from CD before inserting If you do have kids inform them that no matter how hard they push on the cd tray it will not work with a cookie in it.
