Answer» Hello , I recently installed a optical drive in my computer. It came from an OLD pc. It's a Aopen CRW5232 drive. It runs the default XP drivers, but they worked perfectly fine. The drive can't close the CD tray, even when empty. It closes, waits 2 SECS then reopens. Can anyone help me ? It is most likely broken or something is obstructing the CD tray. Have you tried operating it without the IDE cable? Does that result in the same BEHAVIOUR?I've fixed the drive, IDE connecter wasnt fully pluged in. Plus, the drive wasnt aligned correctly in the tray Thx anyway RaptorTalk about a delayed response! Sheesh, no kidding.
