Answer» I Have a Toshiba 1415- s173 Laptop which came with windows XP orignally. I changed it to Windows 2000, but now the dvd rom does'nt work. The DVD Rom is a Toshiba DVD-Rom SD-R2212. It reads the dvd but it wont play: It says : "There is no Windows 2000 compatible DVD decoder installed on this system." someone TOLD me that I might need some kind of a driver for it. Can someone help me out on this???You need a software DVD decoder, not a driver. You might try VLC player, or a commercial PROGRAM like WinDVD, PowerDVD, etc. |
