Solve : CD-R blank disc not recognized by CD-ROM drive? |

Answer» I have a T-30 IBM Think Pad: 256MB 18.63 GB, OS: MS 2000 Pro, GenuineIntel Family 6 Model 8 896. Problem: Matshita DVD-Rom SR-8175, which is the D Drive, suddenly does not recognize a blank CD-R disc. Text box says "Please insert a disc." It will recognize and play audio discs and other cd-rom discs that already have data stored on them. Won't play DVD videoWhich operating system are you USING? When did this start? I don't recall if I have ever tried to burn as disc since I got the computer. I was mostly using my desktop before. I just tried a DVD in it to see if that works and it did not want to paly it. So there is something a bit off here. Any ideas?Burning CDs will be impossible on this computer seeing as you are using a DVD-ROM drive. You will need some KIND of RW drive to burn CDs. Flame |
