Solve : CD ROM drives stopped functioning...?

1.	Solve : CD ROM drives stopped functioning...?
Answer» My Cd rom drives recently stopped working properly, they still open and CLOSE, but the computer does not show them as being there, also i NOTICED that when i close the CD tray the green light blinks on and of like 5 times in a half second intervuls... it is all hooked up and i dont know why they just stopped working. any help would be wonderful thanksMore info.......what would you like to know? i will be happy to tell you once i know what it is you need...Is this Windows ? ?It's TIME, Dr. Patio. I was gonna do 3 more questions...one at a time.sounds like the CABLES not properly connected.
