Solve : cd rom icon?

my cd rom icon alwayz dissapear in my computer... i always use device manager to make it appear again...any suggeston?could be that your desk top settings is to REMOVE unused icons, if so after a period the icon will go,
right click a space on your desktop,
select PROPERTIES,
then desktop,
then Customize Desktop,
and untick the box "run desktop wizard EVERY 60 days"
