Solve : cd rom not detected in dos on reinstall of 98se?

1.	Solve : cd rom not detected in dos on reinstall of 98se?
Answer» formatted compaq pc for friend,started up with 3.5 win98 se LOADS oak technology driver then it says no device found .so i tried another one then another,on some high SPEED cdroms it says no system found.on reg mitsumis it doesnt detect them either or genica tried LOADING drivers to dos or ram partition.nothing is working plz helpDid you add another CDROM of some sort? Are all cable seated FIRMLY? What other WORK did you do on this machine?
