Answer» I have a Dell computer with Windows XP home edition service pack 2. I have a PROBLEM with my CD burner. After its burned a few song it comes up with a disk error. It doesnt do this for anything but audio. It burns about 2 and a half songs before the error pops up. I have a HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8481b cd burner. Thanks for any help. Also, it does it with any program i try to use. for ex. roxio, windows media player, realplayer ect. Thanks again.Has it always been this way? How old is it? Still under warranty? Has anything happened hardware or software wise? Have you tried reinstalling the burning software? More info, please.Yeah its always been like this. Its about 2-3 years old. I have somewhat of this same problem...except when I try to burn cd's, the windows media player says the songs WON'T FIT! Even one song, it still comes up with WON'T FIT! The cd-r's I am using are blank so I don't know why the songs WON'T FIT! Its a Gateway not a Dell.I figured out the problem. All i had to do was change the write speed. Sorry for troubleing you guys.
