I've been working on this computer for days. When I was in setup it SHOWED no cd's and no master and slave HARD drive. When i disconnected hard drives, cds showed up. I cannot get them both to run at the same time. I was trying to INSTALL a new harddrive when all my problems began, but no matter which one i CONNECT, I lose my cd's. thank you,JayI'm not an expert like some of the other folks on this site, but I have had enough problems of this nature to suggest that it might have to do with your connectivity. Read this, and check to see if you've hooked everything up properly. Then let us know:

TRY replacing the IDE cables. They may be faulty.
