I'm having problems with my cdrw drive. It is a Liteon new ADDITION ( was installed from the original "regular" cd drive approx our years AGO). I noticed without the last couple of months that the drive would have its days when it "wanted" to open and when it didn't "feel" like it.
Well now its completely stuck. When the eject button is pushed, the light comes on, greas whirr, and you can hear it trying to push forward, but to no avail. I did do the little trick of STICKING the unbent paper clip in the hole and the drive did pop open. But once shut again it won't reopen with the "eject" button alone.
Am I just going to have to pop it open VIA paper clip from now on, or is there something else that can be DONE?
If anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated! Replace the drive there is a internal PBLM. Recomend SONY
