Answer» I recently went away on vacation, and when i came back, my computer wouldn't turn on. All that happens when i press power is that everything starts GOING, but the screen remains blank, and some random voice says "System fail due to cpu over processing" and then later the voice says something about failing a PDA test or something... sounds very weird... is there anyone out there who can please help me out? I'm basically going insane.Scratch that, it says "System fail due to cpu over clocking".... que?This better not be a joke. Reset CMOS.I wish it was a joke... and i have no idea how to do what you just said... I just built this computer with some help from my friends. The last article contains instructions how to reset the CMOS. Its weird, i can't get into BIOS because the screen is just constantly black. Would it erase everything on my computer? Resetting the BIOS causes hardware configurations to be reset. HARD Disk Drive files stay intact and so will your operating system.
