Solve : cleaning the case?

I have a lovely new laptop with a black case. The lid got scratched when sitting in my car by a grey printer. This LEFT 3 pale grey marks on the black lid. I tried detergent and Bam but wouldn't shift it. I then (unfortunately) tried a PLASTIC scratchy pad and this did remove the grey but also removed some of the colour.

If anyone has any knowledge of
(1) how to restore the black
(2) how to get off the remaining grey lines WITHOUT damaging the black

I WOULD really appreciate this.
