Solve : CMOS Checksum bad .... CMOS Battery low? |
|
Answer» After a "move" PC started and mouse did work but keyboard did not. Next day on start-up did not complete and request to press either F1 or F2 to continue (in different modes), but, the keyboard does not work and have confirmed WIRELESS keyboard operates fine. Does this mean a main battery replacement or? It's possible after the move the battery is not entirely seated. Try the same with a PS2 keyboard...The key board is wireless and the plug-in item has a USB plug so I have to use an adaptor for the PC, no other way. Any follow up SUGGESTIONS? Am I having fun..........NO.Get a cheap (or borrow) PS/2 keyboard. Enter BIOS Setup, enable BIOS defaults or set BIOS the way you want (if you don't know, use Defaults) and make sure that "Enable Legacy Support for USB,' or similar, is selected; "SAVE Changes" and exit. USB keyboard ought to work.Quote from: edzanz on July 20, 2008, 08:33:16 AM The key board is wireless and the plug-in item has a USB plug so I have to use an adaptor for the PC, no other way.
