Answer» I have a Pionex computer that, will only boot up now with boot disc. Once I GET it booted up, it only stays up about 15 MIN then goes to colored lines or checks on screen. The monitor is fine, I checked that. Could it be the video card going bad? Do you have virus portection? Have you tried updating your video card drivers? [glb]Flame[/glb]I have virus protection. I ran the virus scanner and spydoctor. I have not tried updating the drivers. I dont know if it will STAY on long enough to do that. I tried defragging it and it will not make it through that either. I will try the driver UPDATE.Ok. Try the update, and get back to us... [glb]Flame[/glb]Questions: 1. Is the VGA CABLE properly connected? 2. Is the videocard firmly seated? 3. Has the videocard fan been cleansed of excessive dust? -- Only applies if the videocard has an active cooling solution.
