Answer» I have a Compaq EVO W4000, in place running 2008 Data Center. Thing is that it would have ISSUES booting. I thought that in part it I tried to make it faster as well If you mean you overclocked, have you reset the BIOS back to normal? Quote from: Salmon Trout on February 04, 2012, 02:03:25 AM If you mean you overclocked, have you reset the BIOS back to normal? If you overclocked and/or played around with the RAM timings, it may be unbootable if you went too far. You need to reset the BIOS to default values. I tried a faster cpu. I didnt do anything in the BIOS except change the boot order an the clock. This machine isnt all that old So you took out the CPU, then PUT in a faster CPU, then took it out again, and then put the first CPU back in? Yes, that was before it actually, started doing this Now we are getting the full story! (rolls eyes). Maybe you: did not use static precautions when handling the CPU did not put the CPU back in properly BROKE pins on CPU did not clean old thermal compound off cpu and heatsink did not properly appy new thermal compound to the heatsink damaged cpu, motherboard, or RAM Quote from: ryuk I have a replacement motherboard comeing next week Why? nope, seemly the motherboard has got ESD but, I dont know for sureQuote from: Ryuk on February 04, 2012, 08:25:08 AM nope, seemly the motherboard has got ESD but, I dont know for sure Why are you wasting my time?
