Solve : compac D510 unable to start? |
|
Answer» compaq EVO d510..its starts off with 1 SHORT beep followed by 2 longs beeps NOTHING is displayed on the screen ..i've tried replacing the DDR 266Mhz RAM ...bt the problem still persists... help anyone...Some of those EVO's had Leaky Capacitor issues. Remove lid and inspect all capacitor tops for swelling or a yellowish chalky substance leaking out of them. The capacitors surrounding the CPU were all bad on many Compaq EVO's a COMPANY I worked at before my current job. Both Small Form Factor EVO's as well as mini-towers had this issue. Symptoms varied from beep (POST) codes to a system looking healthy locking up tight mouse and all. |
