Ive had my computer only for about 4 months but hp told me it was void of it warranty because the screen had a dead pixel.(they said the screen was broken and told me to get it fixed i have to pay them $700 for a laptop i bought from best buy for $450. Anyway i know how to fix desktop computers and ive been venturing into fixing laptops.Anyone know how to fix this problem or what my be the problem. I Have a video on youtube of the laptop and a few things i was going to sell with it when i was going to let it go on ebay but it didnt sell. It shows how the laptop turns on and how it blinks and cuts off. Hope someone has a idea of whats wrong. HERES the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLrXjd85Tvg

Like I said, HP is selling you a woof-ticket. I'd talk to someone else about the problem @ HP. The one dead pixel has nothing to do with the fact that your system doesn't boot.
Squeak really loud and you just might get satisfaction.
Can you take it back to the place where you bought it?
Alan <>< I tried taking it back to best buy when it first stoped working they told me since i didnt buy my warranty from them they couldnt do nothing about it and that i have to send it to HP. When i sent it to HP they told gave me talk about sending it for repair. When I sent it for repair I called them a few days later to check on the status and they gave me a BIG run around. They sent me to like 3 different departments. Then i talked to a customer care associate who said that the price was $700 for the repairs. I told her about how much i paid and that i felt that the repair should be that much. She then told her manager to call me back. The Manager said that we can reduce the price a little but the screen is still not covered so i will have to pay $475. I told her that i refuse to pay that because my computer was still under warranty and she told me that she would just send it back unrepaired then. So I thought after that the only choice i have is to sell it. I
