Solve : Comparing Memory Modules?

Answer»

I'm looking to PURCHASE some Corsair Value Ram for a new HTPC build on a ASUS P5B-E mobo. There's 2 memory types available, listed below.

VS2GBKIT533D2 DDR2-533 (PC2-4200) 2GB Kit (2 x 1GB) 4-4-4-12-2T 240pin DIMM $84
VS2GBKIT667D2 DDR2-667 (PC2-5300) 2GB Kit (2 x 1GB) 5-5-5-15-2T 240pin DIMM $76

Now from the LITTLE bit I understand about memory, 667/5300 is faster than 533/4200, but it is cheaper. It's a similar pricing DIFFERENCE at newegg.com and zipzoomfly. Are the 667/5300 modules faster? I don't know a whole lot about the latencies.
read these and make a decision....

either ONE WOULD be fine *Thanks. Since I'm not going to overclock, I'll go with the 5300 and save a few bucks.
