Solve : Compatible graphic card?

Answer»

My PC configuration --
Intel GD965RY MOTHERBOARD wi PCi E slot
4 GB DDR2 Ram
500 GB HARD Disk & GB Hard Disk
19" Viewsonic LCD Display

please tell me whether 9500GT nvidia 1 GB Graphic card suits to my configurationnVidia doesn't make graphics cards, they make graphics processors (chips).Biggest concern is if the card will fit properly in case, does your case have good airflow, and most of all important is how many watts your power supply is, since if your power supply is only 250 watts your going to cook that power supply and/or have a system that acts funky when the power supply cant keep up with the load on it.

You will most likely be upgrading your power supply to 500watts or better for that video card. Hopefully your computer takes a universal power supply and is not a name brand computer where they make their own power supplies that are not universal in mounting screw locations and dimensions. Some name brands are universal and some are not. MAYBE you will be lucky and have a universal power supply case!!!

Sometimes, such as in the case of my one HP full tower, the dimensions are similar, but the mounting screw locatons dont match up. I was able to use 1 of HP's supplied holes and then make a stencil on paper and mark for 3 other holes that I had to drill through the steel to screw the 3 other screws in and convert the case to a universal accepting power supply case vs pay HP's REPLACEMENT part mark up, and/or swap guts into a brand new universal case.Hi,
the power supply for this configuration is 450 watts (make-supercom) is it enough as i am using 500 GB & 250Gb hard disk with 1 Gb DDR2 Zotac 9500GT graphic card
Please suggest
