Answer» Ok so I built my first computer a couple of months ago and it has been working perfectly fine since then. Now all of a sudden around last week it has been automatically restarting every time I turn it on. It's weird because it goes through a series of quick RESTARTS; first it reaches windows then it happens, then it doesn't even reach the password screen and it restarts again, and finally it doesn't do it for a while at least. Some days it can be left on for hours while I play games even and it doesn't restart, usually after it GETS done with its fit after I first turn it on.
I don't believe it is heat in general, case temp is always around 34 all the fans are on the video card temp is fine, core is good. I'm wondering if my psu's fan isn't running to great? It's on but i'm not sure if it is weaker then it was before. Everything is here : http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=6935634
Could it be the ram? I'm not extremely savvy on everything yet and everything has been working perfectly for 3+ months. System Properties - ADVANCED - Startup & Recovery SETTINGS ---- uncheck "automatically restart". If you get a blue screen error instead of a reboot next time, post the entire contents of that blue screen here. But if the system continues to reboot it is most likely a hardware issue.Ahh yeah, I've already unchecked that but I have never gotten a blue screen with this pc yet. So what do you THINK is broken, something that works sometimes like now but messes up when i turn it on? Just bugs me cause It's been on for a while again with no problem, but we'll see.I'd run a complete set of diagnostics (ram, hd, cpu, psu, video card, etc).
