Hello everyone. I am having a very large problem with my computer, and it seems that the technical support forum is down, so I thought that I'd post here.

Background info: a couple of days ago, I installed an old monitor that I have because it was bigger than the then current one. I noticed that I had to adjust it with every GAME that I opened so that it didn't have a lot of BLACK space.

On Saturday, I was doing this for a game i was playing, and I changed the display settings to 1024x768. It seemed okay, but then it started freezing a little. After a while, it completely restarted, and from then on it would not let me into windows. It says, "no bootfile name recieved" and it also says in some screens that there is no hard disk detected. I'm not sure what is going on, but if anyone could help me, that would be nice. Thanks.Tyler Magee.....Was this an on-line game ?

dl65  i wish, but no, it keeps restarting. another part that i left out was that it says that windows experienced an error, and it gives me options, like, safe mode, safe mode with networking, "last known GOOD configuration" or restart windows normally. no MATTER which i choose, it restarts, when i choose "last known..." or restart windows normally, it restarts halfway through the loading windows screen.Tyler Magee.....What about the safe mode ?

dl65  it justs restarts when i try and GO into safe modeTyler Magee...... Can you get into the bios ? If you can does the hard drive show up in there ?
