Answer» Sounds like after spending all that cabbage it may in fact be the vid card itself afterall... But let's see what happens after the clean install and the new RAM.I don't have my new RAM YET, but I did a diagnostic test. Everything passed EXCEPT the DST short test. It returned the error code 2000-0146 DST Log contains previous errors. Is this a concern, since everything works with the exception of video FREEZES in full screen mode?Which diagnostic test ? ?The one that opens when you push F12 at bootup. I ran all the tests. The RAM update to 4GB (3.25GB recognized) did not fix the video freezes. And every time I reboot I get the same message, that my computer has recovered from a serious error, that turns out to be that the video card is not working properly...suggesting to update the driver (I wish it were that easy). I tried watching some video on the Nat Geo web site (since that one freezes almost every time) in safe mode (not FUN--no audio), and it did not freeze. I do not recall ever freezing in safe mode.If it freezes in safemode it's most certainly a HARDWARE issue...as was suggested awhile back. Replace the card.
