Go to Device Manager, and UNINSTALL all USB hubs, and roots.
Restart. They'll be automatically reinstalled. WINDOWS does not have a problem its the problem is in the bios Sir, what if you try first what Broni's suggestion? Most important thing to REMEMBER with online tech support is to follow directions otherwise you're wasting our time and your own.

Follow Bronis' direction and then reasses your options....you may or may not need a motherboard....seeing that you GET a splash screen I would surmise your MB is not the problem.windows does not have a problem ok guys windows is fine any way i got a new motherboard and now it works perfectlydid you happen to hot plug ps/2 mouse?

I'm glad to hear you got it running, it's too bad that it cost money, but just think of the UPGRADES you have now though
