Answer» I just recently changed my monitor. and on the new monitor it keeps saving "power save mode" and will not work. I need help. Try to run your computer in safe mode, by pressing F8 key as soon as you boot your computer. Then, try changing power options in START --- SETTINGS ---- CONTROL PANEL --- POWER OPTIONS. I think power OPTION for monitor is set to 1 or 2 minutes. If it didn't work, try changing your display settings.Just to make sure check the cable is plugged into the back of the pc - plus check if the tower has another monitor port. I had a Hp a few years back which came with on board graphics i later installed a new video card, i remeber taking the pc places and after a few mins of fiddleing about relizsing that i had it plugged in the wrong port.
