Answer» hello all I was told to take the battery out, put a jumper on c moss, start the cpu, shut down the cpu, take the jumper back off and put the battery back in. I did all that and still nothing. I don't think you did this right. First, just move the jumper over on cmos, leave there for about a 1MIN (shouldn't even take 30sec) just to be safe, then just move it back over to its original place. Then try to turn on your computer. Hope that helpsI think it's time for a new motherboard/processor. Unfortunately this is not cost effective for a Dell low end MACHINE like this, and the motherboard/connectors are proprietary. Who gave you the advice? Taking the battery out for a minute will reset the CMOS right there. Maybe Santa will bring you a new computer. |
