Answer» Wrong to keep saying that he needs this that and the other without a few simple tests first. I mean, he'll end up with a new computer before long. Disconnect all your Drives- DVD/ HardDrive etc, also any printer you may have. Now start the computer and see if it stays on without shutting down. I know you wont be able to see anything, but I'm just determine if it stays on without shutting down, If it still "shutsdown" then we are looking at the MainBoard/CPU/RAM/PSU. Let use know and I'll tell you what to try next. BTW plz MAKE sure there is nothing more lose on your mainboard-Double check it and make sure no loose screws are shorting your board.Normally I would agree. But when we are talking about the possibility of a cpu running without thermal paste, I think it makes more sense to eliminate that first.Agreed, I was just more concerned about the guy who told him to get a new graphics card and a new motherboard without carrying out simple tasks. I am just suggesting something else he may wish to try, once he has done what you suggested. That would would then narrow it down more. I just thought he, like me. Would automatically make sure that paste was applied and the heatink was in its proper place. I like to clear again, when i press the push button to turn on computer at the front pannel of the computer case (after pressing main on/off button at the back of the computer case) , computer turns on with a music beep and stays on (this was happening already,even connecting or disconnecting drives) but i do not see any thing on monitor screen (screen black, monitor light amber). After turning on, i can see on computer case's front pannel display, cpu temperature 30, psu temp 29, hard DISK working ( all normal things) but nothing on monitor screen.
