Answer» I have a DELL PC, about five years old. My sister said it froze one day, and she restarted it and since then it has not turned on. When I press the power button the lights light up on the computer and the keyboard, but it starts BEEPING. It beeps for a little while and then it just sits. The monitor doesn't turn on while connected to the computer, but it will turn on when it's not connected. I'm WILLING to supply whatever information is needed to solve this problem. I am a college student and I have an important essay saved only on that computer, so I would like to avoid restoring/rebuilding it. Thanks! This makes no sense to me.try to change the power supply.
