I have a Gateway Windows XP w/ service pac 2. 2006 Model.

When I try to boot up it goes through the normal power up mode, however I do not have any commuincations with the monitor, keyboard, or the mouse?

I have recently tried to INSTALL a usb wireless adapter for high speed internet which did not work DUE to a Code 31 error.

After I tried this i went and restored my computer to an earlier date and it worked fine for a couple of weeks.

Last time i went to boot up I got this problem. I am stumped please help.

Did this problem start after you tried to install the internet adapter?

Do the lights on the keyboard flash when you power up?Cyber-minded persons continue exploring what most people want.Slow processing technology in this generation are obsolete so we need to try something that can MAKE our lives easy...right? =)my

work?t-ra, don't hijack threads.And i wouldn't RECOMMEND that writing style either if you expect to get responses that are helpful...Thanks, but no I get no lights to keyboard, monitor or mouse. All the drives lights go through the motions and then it goes into a standby mode. The power light on the computer does not even come on. Please help. Have you moved the computer recently?

Have you tried a different monitor?

Do you have onboard video or a video card?
