Solve : Computer restarts constantly, and I can't get past the login screen.?

Did you do that test yet? Oh, I have not. =/
I haven't really had a chance to sit down and play a good hour of anything, especially since I'm still contending with intermittent BSODs and the busy winter schedule. I do plan on playing the Witcher for an extended amount of time tonight or tomorrow - I'll report the temperature when I get it.

Also, my computer has stayed a steady 52-55C (not running GAMES) after changing to the settings in the guide. For reference, I had previously held a STABLE 63ish degrees. After over an hour of the Witcher, my computer was at about 60C. I also didn't get any BSODs (yet)!

So how would I go about lowering my temperatures even more? Which variable would I mess with? I'm still a tad reserved in terms of fiddling with rivatuner. Also, I just discovered that I have a 500W PSU, not a 600. Is the PSU possibly bottlenecking (or causing nv4disp.dll BSODs)? Or perhaps, causing some parts to GENERATE more heat than necessary?Quote from: Darusame on December 24, 2008, 01:26:22 AM

Try a wattage calculator on the web to see if you meet the requirements. What kind of PSU do you have?

As for your 60c, YES, that is very acceptable. I mean I'd never try gaming without Rivatuner controlling the fans.
So, I'd never GAME with the default fan settings, as in without any software managing the speed.
Does that make more sense?
Sorry for the confusion.I use a fan controller for my two videocards. A fan controller is another option of course.
Having the fan controlled automatically is more convenient though, no need to watch the temperature and keep adjusting the fan to compensate.
