Answer» My computer shuts down unexpectedly when I play games or watch movies, although the games happen every time and movies sporadically. I can do everything else. I'm wondering if its my graphics card or something. ALSO WORTH noting, I recently replaced my fan.
Here are the specs for my computer: Sony Vaio VGN-SZ220 Intel Centrino Duo 1024 MB of RAM nVidia GeForce GO 7400
I've updated my DRIVERS and the same thing happens as well. Here are my core temp as well from Speedfan. If anyone can help, that would be great. This has been driving me nuts.
[attachment deleted by admin]Your PC seems to be overheating. Check the fans for dust and clean them out with compressed air which can be found in a can in most computer shops.
Cameron GrayIf those 60C-62C temperatures are for idle CPU, don't use the computer until the problem is solved. You MAY cause permanent damage.I just realised that you just replaced the fan. Check that the fan is connected correctly and if it was the cpu fan did you REMBER the thermal compound?
