Answer» I got a computer from my grandparents recently. I put a new version of Windows XP on it, thus cleaning it off. Before I did this, the sound and speakers worked fine. Now I cannot hear out of my speakers. They aren't producing any sound. I didn't unplug them. I think something happened to my sound card. Can anyone help? Reply back or send me an email at [emailprotected] or instant message me on AIM at slafa23. Thanks.Pc SPECS? What soundcard? Did you reinstall soundcard driver? Are the speakers powered? Is the volume muted?
More info please.always remember this, when you install fresh windows, there will be no sound until you re-install back the driver yourself.
if you have the motherboard disc, the sound driver should be included.install it back,or without the disc,it a little bit difficult because you need to search it. might help www.driverguide.com I don't know what driver to use.
