Solve : Computer Speakers?

Answer»

I got a computer from my grandparents recently. I put a new version of Windows XP on it, thus cleaning it off. Before I did this, the sound and speakers worked fine. Now I cannot hear out of my speakers. They aren't producing any sound. I didn't unplug them. I think something happened to my sound card. Can anyone help? Reply back or send me an email at [emailprotected] or instant message me on AIM at slafa23.
Thanks.Pc SPECS? What soundcard? Did you reinstall soundcard driver? Are the speakers powered? Is the volume muted?

More info please.always remember this, when you install fresh windows, there will be no sound until you re-install back the driver yourself.

if you have the motherboard disc, the sound driver should be included.install it back,or without the disc,it a little bit difficult because you need to search it.

Since the info you posted contains no info regarding your sound devices anything at this point would be guesswork at best...yup,patio right
hm,i don't know what software to gave at you but try OPEN the casing, search for the serial number / any info at the sound chipset.then google it or try at driverguide.com as i mention earlier.
if it's sound hard, then wait for SOMEBODY that know any software to make us know what chipset you use.
