Answer» I have recently STARTED having problems with the studders when I play my flight SIM GAMES on my computer. The action in the games goes from fluid action then actions stops and goes, stops and goes. The lag times in-between the action is about a second. The rest of the computer action such as internet and e-mail runs fine unless I shut the game and then try to connect to the internet without first re-booting the computer.
I am running Windows XP on an AMD Athlon and an ATI Radeon Graphics card and 512 DDR Memory. I have loaded and installed all new drivers for my hardware and did a fresh re-install of Windows. At this point I'm beggining to think that it may be either a memory card problem or the impending demise of my graphics card. I have never had problems like this in the past. Is there a way to figure out what the problem could be?Thanks in advance to those who respond to this topic. How much RAM does your game require? Try closing unnecessary items while PLAYING (IM, etc.)
FlameHi Flame, The game used to play well with 256 DDR and I now have 512DDR. I use a program CALLED end it all to shut down unused programs.I have never heard of it... Have you scanned for viruses and Spyware? Have you been keeping-up with Windows Updates?
