I have a P4 3.2processor with a 800mb ASUS motherboard. I have had this problem for for about 6 months; it would disappear on its own. LATELY it has been occuring constantnly every day. What it does is it constantnly STUTTERS (~1sec intervals), the sound, the video, and the keyboard and MOUSE. I have tried reformatting and re-installing windows xp but no change. The hard-drive is new so I dont think its anthing with that; same with my RAM, I have 2gb ddr. Now, I think its either the processor or the motherboard
I can't tell for sure and I dont have the equipment to test it. I have taken the computer in for maintenance and was TOLD there is nothiig wrong with it
I'm not sure what else to do with this problem and I can't find information on it anywhere.

Thanks, OviDoes the stuttering occur in safe mode?Yes it does during Safe Mode also.have you tried changind internal ide or sata cables , does the does the hdd light come on when it is stutering??
