Solve : Computer Voltage Regulator?

Answer»

I want to ask why i heard some disturbing noise on my computer VOLTAGE regulator... its BRAND is GIANT POWER G-500LC.. please help does this means that my computer voltage regulator is merely dead? or what?

please help! It's known as a power supply...and judging by the brand name it sounds like a low budget Chinese knockoff...
How old is it and what type of machine is this in ? ?

Any noise from those units is not a good sign at all and you risk further damage the more you use it.I agree with Patio. A noisy power supply is trouble in the MAKING. It can ruin any COMPONENT in the computer. Replace it very soon. It could be just a bearing in the fan but why take the chance?
