Solve : computer will not start ***DEAD***? |

Answer» My computer was SMELLING a LITTLE hot all of a sudden it went dead no nothing. Found out by testing my power supply that it was no good and was under rated and very very cheep for what I was running (came with the case combo) so I went out and bought a dual rail 650w installed it and nothing no anything dead. Check the new power supply yes It's got juice it"s fine so I plugged everything in and recheck all CONNECTIONS cleared the comos and still nothing would this be my motherboard or CPU that has failed? Note: there is no BEEPS no fans no lights nothing but I have power at the supply and the computer worked great beforeIf you know the new power supply is good, but the computer still won't start, it's most likely the motherboard I'd say. If you have access to another SIMILAR computer, you can test your components one at a time in it to be sure. |
