Answer» If he managed to install Windows, I don't think the CMOS Battery will be the problem here.... able to start up and windows is working fine...So the problem is fixed? No, because when he shuts the computer down it is unable to start back up unless he tries multiple times. He had to keep trying to turn it on and then eventually it came on again.Wow, this is a TROUBLESOME little machine. I don't know but it could be the Hard Disk giving up. Does he have another computer (or your computer) he can test it on? You may also want to suggest to him to BORROW a known working PSU of the same or greater wattage and swap it in there overnight to SEE if the startup issues go away... If they do replace the PSU. |
