Solve : Computer will not turn on properly?

Answer»

I ordered myself some PARTS and built a brand spanking new computer last night, but when I hooked it up and pressed my POWER button, it all turned on and then all stopped in about as much time as it takes to blink. Here are some of my specs.

Motherboard: MSI P6N SLI Platinum
Power Supply: Rosewill RD600N 12V 600W
Video Card: MSI NX8600GT Twin Turbo
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 ghz

I haven't put a computer together in a while, so I can't really think of what my problem might be. I'm thinking maybe my power supply just doesn't have enough juice to get everything GOING. I really need a second opinion here.Thermal Compound ?

All MBoard standoffs in place ?

New or used PSU ?in addition to what patio has said, make sure that all your connections are correct and secure.

a 600w PSU should be more then enough to power your comp, however, we do not know if it is faulty or not.Yeah, I'd be interested in this answer also. I have two mb's with this problem, the fan bumps and thats about it. I have a power supply tester and they test ok. I ENDED up buying a new mb and processor which WORKED, but still i cannot figure out what causes this problem of not running.
