Solve : Computer won't boot or load (not sure of the term)? |

Answer» Hello I need some help please. I turn on the power for my computer and I can hear EVERYTHING running, the fans turn on, the hd is spinning, the psu is on. However it doesn't seem to load anything or do anything beyond powering up. When I turn it on I can also hear a faint "beep-beep beep-beep" but I no longer heard it when I unplugged my cd rom drives. I'd tried to reseat everything with no success. Im using an ASUS p5n32 sli motherboard, seagate barracuda hd, and an intel core 2 duo e6400 processor. I just replaced the psu about a week an a half ago but everything was running smoothly (no crashes, no blue screens, no warnings) up until LAST night when my computer froze while I was using it. It was on for about 15 minutes. It hasn't worked since then. I also read on the forums that it might be a problem with the vid card but my moniter seems to be getting a signal from it and I can feel the heatsink on it getting a bit warm to the touch when I have the computer powered on. Please help me if you can.Try the video card in another machine if possible. The way your describing it, it sounds like this mite be it.ive just installed the graphics card onto a dell dimesion 9200 and it works perfectly fine. i dont think its a problem of the graphics not functioning. my own unusual method of knowing if my computer is booting properly is when i usually power up the computer, my cpu fan makes a loud noise from the power running through it. after a few seconds i'm guessing bios kicks in and turns the settings lower so the fan spins slower and stops making the loud noise. unfortunately bios (or whatever it is controlling it) NEVER kicks in and my computer never starts up.That board uses an Award BIOS. The beep codes for it are: |
