Solve : Computer won't boot up ?? |
|
Answer» I have a emachines computer here that is only a year old that will only sometimes boot up...(VERY VERY rarely). The weird thing is when i replaced the hard drive it worked long enough for me to install windows, but then a hour LATER i turned it on again and it did the same thing. When i power it on the fans will come on super loud and just spin until it either boots up or i unplug it. I tried to add a cheap PCI-Express graphics card thinking something was wrong with the on board one with no LUCK. I also tried replacing the hard drive with no luck. I can boot into the bios, but only sometimes...(VERY rarely) The other weird thing is it won't display on any monitor even in the bios unless i connect it to my 40 inch LCD...LOL. I tried 4 different monitors and the only thing the bios will boot on is my TV. This COULD be that it just happens to boot up when hooked up to my TV, but figured i would explain everything thats happening. One thing i did notice that was strange was....One TIME it booted up to the bios and all of the lettering had lines through it and looked like GIBBERISH. Of course it froze and i had to reboot... This is the weirdest problem i've seen to date with a computer. Can anyone help me...LOL ? I know this seems "OUT THERE", but i'm officially stumped. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.... Let me know if anyone wants to know further information about what the computer is doing. The local computer place wants 80$ just to look at it and i have a feeling it's not good, so i really don't want to spend 80$ and then figure out my computer is shot. THANKS !!!! With it connected to the 40-inch... |
