Solve : computer won't start after memory expansion?

Answer»

Hi!

I have an HP Pavilion dv1000 notebook. it had 512MB of RAM MEMORY (two slots) and i upgraded it to have 2GB.
The computer was working fine and then suddenly, it showed a blue screen and switched itself off. (this was the same day as the memory change, so i'm thinking the events are related).

this is the blue screen:

it's in spanish, but this is what it says:

"A problem has been FOUND and windows has been turned off to avoid damage to the system.
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
if this is the FIRST time you see this screen of error detention, restart your computer. If the screen appears again, do the following:
Check that any hardware or software is proprly installed. if it is a new installation, contact your you provider to see what updates you may need.

If problems persist, stop any new software or hardware you have installed. Stop the memory BIOS options of cache and vigilance. You may need to restart you computer in error detection mode.

So, do you think it is a problem with the new memory? or could it me something else, a VIRUS maybe? please help me out :(i'm super stressed)

I took some pictures of the memory... maybe theyre not properly installed....

these are the old memory CHIPS:

and these are the new memories, already in the slots.

pleas eplease please help me The new memory appear to be the correct type. I don't think that's what causing the problem, but it only takes a minute to swap it back to the old ones.
