Solve : Computer won't turn on, fixed but now what?? |
|
Answer» Hello, Some time ago we turned our computer off & unplugged because of a bad storm coming. When we turned it back on it would NOT start. Nothing, only green light ticking in the back. We waited a little while & then it worked. This happened a few times & the last time it didn't come back on. So I fiddled with this & that. Made sure the button was all connected. A few times Iv 'fixed' no longer operation computers because something had become dislodged or needed to be cleaned etc. lol So I was hoping it was that simple. Nothing i knew to CHECK changed anything. So I checked the internet& did some troubleshooting nothing worked, or I was confused. Anyways I was just looking at it & thought I should disconnect the CD drive (the thing were CD'S go.) and as soon as I did the light became solid stopped ticking and the computer came right on, no problem! I am soooooooooooo happy so I plugged in the CD back and it still worked...should I do that? Is just that peice of my computer disfunctioning for some reason? Lately I have been having TROUBLE with CD's they don't always want to come out & SOMETIMES I have trouble getting my computer to read them. Should I just leave it disconnected for now & get a new one? I don't know a whole lot about the inner workings of computers just what I find on the net when i RUN into a problem. I'm not sure if I have a CD in it so Id like to check..Get a new drive...a brand new dual-layer DVD burner is about 40 Bucks shipped from newegg... |
