Answer» OK, My computer was recent ly KILLED DUE to a spark in the power supply. I replaced the power supply, motherboard, and processor. I know for sure that my Harddrive, and Graphics card works fine, but INo matter what I do, I cannot get it to turn on. Now the moterboard recieves power, but I smell a scent of burning curcits near the power input of the motherboard. What do you think is wrong? Perhaps you have answered your own question.ML: Take the computer to a repair shop and have them replace the power supply (should be under $50.00 (USD) for the hardware, PLUS the cost of labor). Best regards, DocI'd suggest a Viking Funeral, but a sledge hammer may be more satisfying. Quote but I smell a scent of burning curcits near the power input of the motherboard. It might be trying to make a move on you.Is the PSU voltage switch set to the right voltage?check tracking on the mobo/and caps leaning over.......on the mobo.....maybe time for a new one! |
