Solve : Confused about Voice Modems, SIP and TAPI? |
|
Answer» I am trying to buy a software that will allow my calls to go through it-for an auto attendant feature. The software requires a VOICE modem that is either SIP or TAPI. I currently use OOMA and cannot find anyone at OOMA that know if I can still use their Voip through one of these VOICE modems and have the software work. Evoice is one, http://www.voicent.com/pbx.php this is a software I am looking at buying...i just don't understand what I need. ThanksAfter reading the info on that website, I have the impression that you could use Skype with that service and, if so, you would not need a voice modem. I'm not absolutely sure about this but it's what I gather from the website. Have you seen the videos at http://www.voicent.com/slide/pbx.htm? If not, I think they may clear your mind of some of your CONFUSION. |
