I have a 500gb internal HDD which I have wiped using DBAN to use with a Dynamode enclosure connected via USB as back up
and storage.
I connected it up but the drive doesn't appear in My Computer (using Windows 7) as I'm no expert what have I done or not done that might solve the problem, please?
GRATEFUL for any advice.Go to Disk Management and FORMAT the drive.Guessing this is a SATA drive and not an IDE based on size, but if its an IDE drive you need to set the jumper for the case. Usually its set to CS for Cable Select although some are set to M or MA for Master.Hi, folks
Thanks for the help and advice. Have MANAGED to format the drive using disk management which wasn't ENTIRELY straghtforward
but the drive is noe up and running and I have backed up my files successfully.
