Solve : connecting commputer?

Answer»

please can somebody advise me. i have a intel 4 witch windows XP running i also have a old open 486 which  am not using for anything. i was wondering is it possiable to connect the 486 to the intel to use as a secound HARD drive for my dvd ectIf you're asking if you can take the hard drive out of the 486 and install it in your newer PC, the answer is probably yes.  You'd set the jumpers on the back of it to be a "slave" drive.  You'd have to be sure that there's room in your new PC for a second hard drive.

If you're asking if you can create a network between the two computers, the answer is maybe.  But if all you're looking for is more STORAGE space, it WOULD probably be easier to cannibalize your 486.  A hard drive on a 486 isn't more than 500MB (1/2 GB).  Just BUY a 2nd hard drive and give the 486 to someone.
