Answer» Greetings all. Can someone give me some advice. I bought a HP Scanjet 4p at a garage sale and WOULD like to connect it to my laptop but the scanner may be non-compatible with my laptop. I have downloaded some compatable drivers from HP's site but I'm wondering about the minimum system requirements listed in the installation BOOKLET. It says I must have a VGA monitor and wants to connect to a SCSI card. It would nice if all I had to do was get an adapter for the SCSI cable and COULD connect it to a USB port. Here are my specs. Gateway 400sd4 NOTEBOOK CIRCA 2003 XP-home, sp3 pentium r4cpu 2.60Ghz-512 ram HP Scanjet 4p scanner 25 pin scsi to 50 pin scsi cable interfaceI see no reason why SCSI to USB adapter shouldn't work.Yea, I'll try that.
