Solve : Connections problem?

Answer»

Hey,

I am 'trying' to built myself a computer for the first time, but having a bit of a problem with connections. I have connected my PSU to my mb and my HDD, but there doesn't LOOK as though there is another mb slot for my optical drives like on the old computer. Could I use the slot labeled floppy on my mb or would that not work? Also if I can use the floppy slot the connection doesn't reach. Any suggestions?

p.s. the mb is a ASUS P5QL/EPU iP43 Socket 775 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/170220#Hmm, you only have 1 x IDE connector on that Mb and 6 sata connectors.....Sorry, you can't use the floppy connector....you'll have to get one of these..or UPGRADE your optical drives to sata.

DO shop around...Do some research for a PCI / IDE addon card if you don't care to replace all your IDE devices just yet...
